Leaf in the Wind is a documentary film, conceived as a two-voice monologue: Ernestine's voice and mine. One might say a dialogue, only the entire film is woven around Ernestine's words. My questions help Ernestine to tell her story; my voice-over commentary connects her story to that of her father, Ernest Ouandie, inscribing her personal story in the wider history of Cameroon and of African decolonization.
